On our winter hiking tour you can experience magical Finnish winter nature in Nuuksio National Parks close to Helsinki. The winter safari takes you to the snow covered forests and also safely to ice covered lakes.
When the snow cover in the forest is deep enough, we put on snowshoes. Using snowshoes is simple. If you can walk, you know how to snowshoe. If there is not that much snow for snowshoes, we can hike in the forest and typically also on the frozen lakes of Nuuksio.
Walking on snowy terrain is an excellent opportunity to explore animal tracks on snow. In the middle of our trip we’ll have a break with a nice warm drink and snack by campfire. Sitting by the fire after hike in the nature can be relaxing, even meditative, experience.
