We stopped at the firepit to drink lingonberry compote Mika made and taste Finnish pastry, that was a very nice experience. This was wonderful--absolutely the greatest highlight of our trip to Finland. We did the half-day berry-picking and mushroom-foraging hike in Nuuksio and I could not recommended it more highly--it is... read more a real can't miss! Our guide Olli was very kind and gave us great information about the berries, the mushrooms, the forest and Finland in general. The hike was beautiful. It was also a perfect level of difficulty, in that I (an experienced hiker) and my boyfriend (not much of a hiker at all and also who wears a leg brace due to a disability) were both able to enjoy it. I did not feel like it was too easy, and he did not think it was too hard! The park is beautiful and quiet, and the foraging was a lot of fun (as was the end of the hike when we ate what we had found, along with Finnish pastries and coffee that Olli brought). Don't hesitate for a moment about booking this activity. It is a must-do and I look forward to doing another excursion with Feel the Nature when we return to Finland in the future! More
