Our tour in co-operation with Nuuksio reindeer park takes your group to a relaxing nature hike in the peace of Finnish clean wild winter forests and see a glimpse of Lapland on our visit to a reindeer park in Nuuksio National Park, near Helsinki. The trip includes transportation and we can start the trip straight from your hotel in downtown Helsinki, port of Helsinki or Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (optional).

In our guided visit to a reindeer park in Nuuksio you can see reindeers at close range, you will hear stories about them and you can feed them with lichen, which is their delicacy.
The hike takes you to the quiet forests. Wintertime when the snow cover in the forest is deep enough, we put on snowshoes and weather permitting, walk on ice-covered lakes. Walking with snowshoes is pretty simple. If you can walk, you know how to snowshoe.
Duration of activities is ca. 3 hours and the whole tour, including transportation, for about 5 hours. Guiding language is English. We go through all the necessary safety procedures at the beginning of the activities. Please, get acquainted with safety and general instructions for day tours.

We can start and end the trip from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, downtown Helsinki or Espoo. We can, for example, pick you up from your hotel and bring you to the Helsinki-Vantaa airport after the trip.
Niila is the oldest reindeer bull, born in spring the spring of 2012 He has biggest horns and is the leader of the herd . Another reindeer bull is young Usva, who was born in the spring of 2018. Usva’s mother is Tähti (born 2016). And there are three more adorable female reindeers: Taika, Nella and Lumi. They were born in the spring of 2013.
After the long journey from Lapland to Nuuksio, they are well adapted to their new home. The reindeer are fed twice a day and they are very curious and interested in people when they see them nearby.
