Roots of Kupilka date back to 1775 when the first handmade cup was carved – old traditions combined with the best modern materials quarantee quality with no compromise. The name Kupilka originates from an old Karelian nickname for a wooden mug. Heikki Koivurova, a Finnish industrial designer who is known for his down to earth attitude and beatiful organic, yet functional forms, has designed the products.

The ecological Kupilka dishware can withstand boiling hot water and sub-zero temperatures as cold as -30°C. The dishes can be washed by hand in the wild or in the dishwasher back home. The products are manufactured from Kupilka biomaterial using EKOenergy, and each item ages beautifully yet keeping its qualities. The Kupilka packaging is made from recycled cardboard.
